Sunday 29th

Widely circulated has been the picture of Donald Trump holding hands with Theresa May, but it has been revealed that has less to do with affection than the fact that Donald Trump suffers from 'bathmaphobia' and  no, that is not a fear of baths.   A fear of 'slopes' is the reason  he took her hand at the beginning of the downward slope and let go at the end.   I call it fear of stumbling and losing his dignity.

I am not usually given to signing petitions but have just added my signature to the more than 700,000 calling for Trump's state visit to the UK to be cancelled.  That has far exceeded the 100,000 needed to call for a debate in Parliament. Can't you just see Trump's tantrums if his visit is cancelled - oh the chagrin!!  he will be calling our leaders all sorts, and say something to the effect that he didn't want to come anyway.

This petition is in response to Trump's ban on citizens from Iraq, Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Syria and Yemen, from entering the US.   It is hard to understand where Trump is coming from because those responsible for recent terror attacks did not come from these nations.

I won't go through them all but of the 19 who hijacked planes on 9/11, 15 were from Saudi Arabia, 2 from the UAE, 1 from Egypt and 1 from Lebanon.  More recently, the man who shot and killed 49 people at a gay nightclub in Orlando was an American citizen living in Florida, born in New York, his parents were  from Afghanistan.   Of the 2 responsible for the more recent San Bernadino attack, 1 was an American citizen born in Chicago and his fiancée was born and raised in Pakistan and later lived in Saudi Arabia.

Are you getting my drift...............................?

As for me and my activities - apart from going to the 8 o'clock service this morning with Tim I have not done a lot, it is still too grey and damp out to go far.

  1. I don't recollect having seen the photo you mention. Obviously it would be of more interest in the U.K. I certainly cannot fault you for signing the petition. Many of us Yanks are wondering about his ban, especially that he has no businesses in the nations selected.
