The highlight of the last few days was a visit from Jeremy and his friend, Janet, who came up to Oxford to take me out to lunch on Monday. The 1st January is a Public Holiday here but as it fell on a Sunday, Monday was a holiday in lieu.
We went to a nice restaurant on the river bank, we would have gone for a walk afterwards but it was too cold.
It has been suggested to me that I should get out and about, sightseeing in the City, but it is the chilly weather which is keeping me hunkered down indoors, crocheting and watching television. But I did
quite a bit of sightseeing showing Malcolm and Sue - my visitors from north Devon - round the City a few days ago.
