Well, well, here I am complaining about our damp, chilly weather, thinking it is probably quite nice and relatively warm in Shawnee, and I understand you have got 3" of snow there. I hope Bubbles is tucked up somewhere warm, and receiving lots of affection. I tried to ring someone there to find out but couldn't get through on my landline, and didn't want to use minutes on my cell phone for such a long distance call. I understand Mark put the house up for sale that I was living in, and I wondered how that was going.
I'm not venturing out very far, Tim stopped by this afternoon to take me to a supermarket which was helpful. Summertown is a nice place but there aren't any big shops or supermarkets, they are all out of town.
There is an enormous amount of industrial action and chaos going on here on our rail and underground systems. I thought Margaret Thatcher had seen off the unions and all this industrial action was consigned to history, but it seems - at least to me - that it has all started up again.
Not long now until Donald Trump is sworn into office. Are you feeling nervous? I think I might be at his total lack of experience in public office. He doesn't seem to care who he might rub up the wrong way, whether it is the President of Mexico or the political leadership in China. I can't see him pandering to anyone, or going out of his way to avoid confrontations.
