Brief Update on Trump Saga

I understand there is going to be a Parliamentary debate on February 20th on Trump's proposed   State Visit to the UK.   The whole nine yards of a State visit with all its associated pageantry;  accommodated at Buckingham Palace, sitting beside the Queen in the State coach, banquet at the Mansion House attended by all the leading politicians and other members of the Royal family, etc. etc. but instead of cheering crowds lining the streets,  who love to see the Queen and the pageantry, the police will be holding back hostile, angry protesters.

So Donald Trump has nearly three weeks to do the decent thing and graciously bow out, because if it is left to angry MPs to "disinvite" him I fear Theresa May - whose colossal mistake this was - might offer her resignation, and that's not fair.

He had barely been in Office for a WEEK.   I can't - for the life of me - figure out why she was in such a tearing hurry to meet him, far less invite him here.
