I had a lovely day, Tim rang this morning to say they were all going to John Lewis - a very big department store several miles away in another county - and asked if I'd like to go; of course I jumped at the chance of going out and being with the family - also, having been away for so long in small town America in the middle of the prairies, big department stores the size of John Lewis are exciting places. Also it was a very warm and pleasant day and I enjoyed the ride in Tim's lovely car.
Tim and Marie were shopping for a new sofa so we did a lot of lounging around on armchairs and sofas.

We had lunch in the restaurant there before making our way home to Oxford. And I spent the rest of the day quietly crocheting and watching television.
