Monday 25th

My task for the day was to find a swimming pool/fitness centre, and I set off for Summertown where I knew the location of one.   However, it was very drab and uninspiring and I was disappointed to say the least.  I was wondering if there was a country club type of place that would have one, without costing too much.   I'll look around.

In the fitness centre part of the complex a guy was leading a group of women who were all furiously cycling but not going anywhere.   I felt tired looking at them, and decided I got probably got enough exercise running for the bus.

In Shawnee, OBU and St Gregory's opened their swimming pools to the general public but I haven't heard of any Oxford colleges doing so.

So I then picked up a bit of shopping in M&S's Food Store (I am still discovering all sorts of wonderful treats in there) then went back home to my reading and crocheting.   I am beginning to wonder who I can give my crocheted afghans to.   The Senior Centre in Shawnee were always pleased to have them, either to give to seniors who liked to pull them over their laps, or else to use as raffle prizes to raise funds for the Centre.

I took a couple of photos today of the outside of the apartment block.

Isn't that lovely.   You see how well screened it is from the busy road outside.
