Well it has been a while hasn't it since I had anything to say, but I am feeling a bit better and settling into the lovely, modern apartment Tim and Marie found me. It is smaller than my house in Shawnee, which had three bedrooms and two bathrooms - bigger than I needed - so I'm finding this less work and easier to keep neat and tidy. The block has a pleasant outlook and although it is on a busy road it is well screened all round with tall trees and shrubs.
I had a lovely day today, Tim stopped by and took me into the City Centre. With all the colleges and the medieval buildings there is so much of interest to look at. The weather was warm and we strolled through the City; I bought a couple of guide books of Oxford and the Colleges, and we stopped for tea and coffee at Boswell's, the department store established in 1738, which - correct me if I'm wrong - predates the Revolutionary War. As Oklahoma is so modern and 20th century I was beginning to forget what 'old' was.
Afterwards Tim took me back to his house and I had supper with him and the girls. Marie is in China at the moment.
