The weather was a bit drier today and I went into Summertown for some shopping. Although drier it was not pavement café weather, so I went into M&S's café indoors and read the paper left for patrons' convenience.
I noted that Theresa May has obviously been having lessons from Donald Trump in government and leadership. She is going to build a wall at Calais to keep out all the nasty migrants who want to come in; one wonders if it is going to be as BIG and as BEAUTIFUL as Trump's wall on the US southern border is going to be. I know the President of Mexico took exception to the assertion that all his people are criminals and rapists, and I can't imagine that President Hollande is very happy at the implication. But on a more serious note, I am aware that this not about French people trying to come in, it is all part of the humanitarian crisis going on in the Middle East which should be concerning us all.
This evening Tim stopped by with some duck he'd cooked for supper and he knows I like. Then I watched 'Great British Bake Off' which has become the most popular tv show ever.
And that has been my happy day.
