Can anyone tell me why Donald Trump seems hell bent on winding up Kim Jon Un, although I know it is six of one, and half a dozen of the other? I don't think I have felt this nervous of the prospect of WWIII since the Suez Crisis in 1956.
Following one of Trump's most foolhardy speeches to date threatening/taunting Kim Jon Un, I saw one of his staff at the UN with his head in his hands in total despair.
With all due respect to my American friends I think you elected the wrong President, Hilary Clinton was surely far more qualified and experienced to deal with North Korea. What qualification and experience has Trump got? This is all going to end in tears and perhaps sooner than we expect.
In the past week I have just been to a couple of events at St Andrew's, one was the monthly lunch club on Thursday, at which the speaker was one of our church members who had been a Shakespearean actor, and she was talking about her career in the Royal Shakespeare Company. It was very interesting, and seeing her about in church I never imagined she had been with the RSC.
This evening there was a 'Hymns of Praise'. There has been a BBC programme of that name on Sunday evenings for as long as I can remember, and Pam Rhodes, one of the BBC presenters of the programme came to St Andrews to present it. I was half expecting her to be with a BBC crew, but this is something she does independently - going round churches, introducing and talking about the hymns then selling her books. These speakers always have books to sell but it was very interesting and I was glad I'd made the effort to go out. The weather has been lovely today, I wouldn't have gone out if it had been wet, I am getting cautious, especially with all the autumn leaves on the pavements.

There is a Taize service tomorrow evening, I'll consider it nearer the time. The evenings are drawing in so I think twice before going out.
