Saturday

I've got some relief from my dental woes; but the dentist is still working on my root canal treatment, I go back on Wednesday, but am glad to be out of the intense pain I was suffering.

It has been a quiet day.   I went out yesterday to a lecture at the church given by a member, a professor and Fellow of Magdalen College, the subject was the development of the English language,  'How English became English'. it was interesting, and it was followed by tea and cakes.

I have taken a couple of photos of the inside of the apartment.
As I think I've said before, it is small and wonderfully easy to manage.

Tim stopped by this afternoon.   He took me out to a neighboring village where I wanted to take one or two photographs.    Oxford has a very, very interesting history - Charles I made it his capital during the Civil War, so there was a lot of fighting round here between the Royalist forces and the Parliamentarians, but I will write about that tomorrow and post the couple of pictures I took.
